Abstract

|
The evaluation of the older drugs used in our country should be made from the viewpoint of safety and efficacy of drugs. The system and standards for the evaluation of drugs have been made littte progress. It will be essential that the system has to be studied and the function of the committee should be reviewed.
Also adverse reactions to the drug continue to be a serious health problem. Although the scientific basis for evaluatiag the therapeutic effectiveness of drugs has improved greatly, little progress has been made in the detection and documentation of toxic effects of drugs in our country.
According to the WHO drug monitoring system and current progress in the professional field, our system should be re-established systemically and professionally for monitoring the adverse reactions to the drugs used in our country.
